Getting here from Derby
Head south out of the city on the A514 through Chellaston, or take the A5132 down through Barrow upon Trent village. Either way it's around fifteen minutes from the centre, and less from Sinfin or Allenton.
We're on Barrow Bridge Industrial Estate on Sinfin Lane. Look for all the race cars out the front, and you've found us.
Why people drive out to us
Most remapping in Derby is mobile. Someone comes to your house, plugs into the OBD port on the drive, and leaves forty minutes later.
We work the other way round. Your car comes to a unit, goes up on a ramp, and gets looked at properly before anyone opens a laptop. On a car that's done serious mileage that check is often the most valuable part of the job.
Derby is an engineering city, so we'll skip the sales pitch
A good number of the cars we see from Derby belong to people who build things for a living. Toyota at Burnaston, Rolls-Royce, the rail works. You do not need us to explain what a turbocharger does or why a manufacturer leaves headroom in a map.
What that means in practice is that Derby customers ask better questions than most, and we'd rather have that conversation than give you a percentage off a brochure. Ask us what the torque curve does, ask us why we won't touch your DPF, ask us what we found when the car was up in the air. You'll get a straight answer.
The other Derby pattern is mileage. A lot of company diesels doing the A38 and A50 every day, where a map that lets the car sit in a higher gear at lower revs shows up on the fuel card rather than the stopwatch.
What we do
Stage 1 remapping, performance and economy maps, diesel remapping, and van and fleet work. Software only. We don't remove DPFs, EGR valves or AdBlue systems, because that makes a car illegal to use on the road.
Can I drop the car off on my way into work?
We're on the south side of the city, so if you're heading towards the A50 or the A38 it's barely a detour. Get in touch with us for our earliest drop-off time, and whether your car can be left for the day.
