Getting here from Long Eaton
West on the A6005 through Draycott and Borrowash, then down through Shardlow, or pick up the A50 and come off at Swarkestone. Around twenty five minutes. From Sawley or Breaston it's a little quicker.
Worth the drive?
There are mobile remappers closer to you, and if you want someone at your door this evening one of them will do it.
What you can't get on a driveway is the car on a ramp with engine builders looking at it before anyone writes anything to the ECU. That's the trade, and it's why people make the drive.
Trade vans and the J25 run
Long Eaton has been a manufacturing and trades town for a very long time, and the furniture and upholstery trade in particular still puts a lot of working vans on the road here. Add the M1 at junction 25 on the doorstep and you have a lot of vehicles doing high mileage while loaded.
That combination is where remapping earns its keep: more torque low down means fewer gear changes with weight on board, less throttle to hold a motorway speed, and a fuel bill that moves. If you're running vans rather than a car, say how many and we'll price it per vehicle.
Sitting between Derby and Nottingham also means we see cars from this direction that have been mapped before, sometimes more than once. Bring whatever paperwork you have and we'll read what's on there before we suggest anything.
What we do
Stage 1, performance and economy remapping, diesel and van work. No emissions deletes.
My car's already been mapped by someone else. Can you look at it?
Yes, and it's more common than you'd think. We can read what's currently on the ECU and tell you what's there. If the previous map was sensible we'll say so. If it wasn't, you'll hear that too. Either way we store what we find before changing anything.
